Disruptive Advertising is one of my favorite clients. I’ve been managing their blog for years and we’ve seen incredible growth. Today, the Disruptive blog gets over 10,300% more traffic than it did when I started working with them.
However, while it’s nice to have a lot of traffic, it’s even better to turn that traffic into email subscribers.
With that in mind, Disruptive asked me to create a series of eBooks that they could offer blog visitors to incentivize them to sign up for their email newsletters. That way, they can build brand familiarity with their subscribers, become their go-to source for marketing help, and eventually sign up as clients.
To make sure that the eBooks were relevant to the content people were reading, we created a whole series of eBooks focused around the different topics covered on the blog. That way, we could use the blog categories to target the eBooks to different readers based on the content they were reading.
For example, here are a few of the topics:
- Conversion rate optimization
- Ecommerce
- Facebook advertising
- Lead generation
- Marketing analytics
- Paid search advertising
- Etc
Each guide is a lengthy, in-depth analysis of its topic, providing user-friendly, practical advice for getting better marketing results.
It was a lot of fun getting to put together all of the content for these eBooks, doing the design work and creating a free resource that would help readers really take their marketing to the next level.
